Dear Residents of North Rode,
Parish Plan meeting
Most will have seen and hopefully read an article by
John Narraway in the March edition of the church Parish
news referring to an open meeting about a Parish Plan.
The meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 20th May
at 7pm. Some of our neighbouring parishes have produced
such a document with the help of a representative cross
section of their village communities. The cross section
has included representatives from organisations such as
churches and the WI as well as individuals.
As John has stated," A Parish Plan is a document
written by the residents of the Parish that sets out what
is good about the Parish and how to preserve and enhance
it, what is lacking in the Parish and how to provide it
and possibly what is bad about the Parish and how to remove
it."
The meeting on the 20th will comprise mainly of a presentation
by representatives from Cheshire Community Council (not
to be mistaken with Cheshire County Council) about Parish
Plans their purpose and benefits. There will also be opportunity
to put forward your views / ideas and to comment on whether
such a plan is something we want to have for North Rode.
The meeting is being initiated by North Rode Parish Council
but if the work of producing a Parish Plan is seen as
desirable it will be taken forward by a Parish Plan team.
All residents of North Rode are invited to the meeting
at the Daintry Hall on Tuesday 20th May. If you would
like any further information please contact John Narraway
223171 or myself on 223547.
Yours sincerely,
David Syson
Chairman North Rode Parish Council
