Planning Applications

Planning Application number 07/3065P - single storey rear extension to Acre Hill Barn, Pexall Road, North Rode, Congleton, CW12 2NW

Permission granted with conditions.

The Clerk had received two Planning Applications which were: -

Planning Application number 08/0192P - change of use of barn to office - Bramhall Hill Farm, Bank Lane, North Rode, CW12 2PJ.

Members of the Parish Council inspected the plans and noted that the corrugated asbestos cement roof covering is to be replaced with slate, which would be an improvement and found no objections to the Application.

Planning Application number 08/0194P - replacement warehouse - Bramhall Hill Farm, Bank Lane, North Rode, CE12 2PJ.

The present warehouse was originally a dry-cow shed that received change of use permission some years ago. The proposal is to demolish and rebuild on the same site but providing a slightly larger building.

The Parish Councillors found no objections to the proposals.

Finances

The Clerk had prepared a draft statement of account for the year end March 2008.

The account showed a healthier balance than previous years but it was noted that no large expenditure had been undertaken.

Payment for the Clerks salary £420, postage and sundries £53 and the hire of the Village Hall £50 was proposed by John Narraway and seconded by Andrew Needham1.

The fingerpost signs at Cocksmoss Lane and Macclesfield Canal have been painted by Macclesfield Borough Council. A further quote was sourced for the painting of the cyclist warning sign at the top of Church Lane. The quote received was in the sum of £180.

A quote had also been received from Andrew Syson in the sum of £90.

The meeting discussed the requirement of the Risk Assessment, Schedule of Works and a request to Macclesfield Borough Council for a part contribution.

It was proposed by Andrew Needham and seconded by John Narraway that instructions be given to Mr Andrew Syson to proceed2. The Clerk to prepare Risk Assessment and Schedule of Works.

Any Other Business
